O’Rourke is back and he’s taking on social discourse. I’ve never understood how any man can be this funny. Here’s just the first few sentences:

Last year, on a long car trip, I was listening to Rush Limbaugh shout. I usually agree with Rush Limbaugh; therefore I usually don’t listen to him. I listen to NPR: “World to end—poor and minorities hardest hit.” I like to argue with the radio. Of course, if I had kept listening to Limbaugh, whose OxyContin addiction was about to be revealed, I could have argued with him about drugs. I don’t think drugs are bad. I used to be a hippie. I think drugs are fun. Now I’m a conservative. I think fun is bad.

Once again, Lady Thatcher proves her wisdom, insight and clarity is unmatched in her eulogy this morning for President Reagan. Here is a brief excerpt of her speech that really sums up Mr. Reagan’s life and career:

So the President resisted Soviet expansion and pressed down on Soviet weakness at every point until the day came when communism began to collapse beneath the combined weight of these pressures and its own failures. Well, it seems to be a bad week for the death of great men. The legendary Ray Charles has passed away at the age of 73.
