Some days you just have to be the last guy out the day at work. However, these last several weeks I’ve been working on a really fun project so I really can’t object.

I’m just a sucker for these early morning lake pictures. At dawn, the shoreline is covered with Great Blue Herons catching their breakfast.

I’m going to have to play a massive bit of catchup here. I’ve been taking the pictures but I haven’t been good about posting, so expect to see a couple of pictures a day posted until I get caught up.

In any case, I’m pretty much done with my paperless office project that I started a couple of weeks back. I’m now left with the world’s largest collection of non-party confetti.

I had the opportunity right before Thanksgiving to take part in a fun cycling event called Cranksgiving. This informal ride takes part in many places around the country and consists of several stops at area grocery stores where riders will pick up selected food items which will then be donated to an area food bank.

Since I can never compete on speed, I put Ms. Blu Haul to good use by going for the most weight which ended up being about 40 lbs of can goods. It was a nice ride and I got to meet some nice folks.

It was a busy day for both Grace and I, so a lazy evening reading, writing and watching TV in bed was called for.

Rule #1 of Project 365 is to remember to take your camera with you every day. I kinda forgot that one today and was forced to do a little self-referential photography.

For most of this year, looking out over Lake Hefner was a bit sad with long spits of dry red earth sticking out into the lake. However, we’ve been geting some great rains for the last couple of weeks and when combined with some water releases from another lake, and the view is definitely improving. Admittedly this is pure bike porn, but I couldn’t pass up another pretty dawn ride picture. My morning commute remains my hands-down favorite part of my day.

Today we had a big open house to celebrate and officially announce our new company headquarters. Of course, what is a fancy party without some fancy food on sticks!

It was a really busy day getting ready for a friend’s wedding the next day. Grace was in charge of getting the reception ready and I was going to be running a photobooth after I got back from the Oklahoma Bike Summit. In any case, we had to run a few errands including a stop by the bride’s house where I snapped this photo.
