It was a long day of Christmas merriment and some of us needed a little nap. ;)
Some toys really need some showing off.
Unfortunately, Grace, who had been feeling poorly for the last couple of days, woke up really sick on Christmas morning. And I started to come down with a cold as well. So, our activities for Christmas Day were primarily reserved for watching the fire. All in all, it could be much, much worse.
Today was Gwen’s official 16th birthday (we had a second party the next weekend for those who couldn’t make it). It has been truly one of the best experiences of my life to get to know this remarkable young woman over the last couple of years.
There really is nothing like the joy of thoroughly and completely embarrassing a teenager. Tonight it was me taking inordinate numbers of pictures with my camera phone. I mean OMG, could I be any more wierd?
It was Alex’s birthday today and a nice celebration was in order. I got this picture of my Mother in high spirits.
Ever do something really silly and end up with an injury to prove it? For some inexplicable reason I decided to headbutt the corner of a filing cabinet at my desk and took a nice chunk out of my forehead. How foolish!
It is always a little strange running into people from your distant past. Peter and I went to high school together though we never really knew each other. Still it’s fun to see what people have gotten up to 15 years after you knew them.
