After three days, I’m finally starting to recover. This is one old acquaintance I won’t be sad to see the last of. However, being sick and slowly recovering at the end of the year really isn’t a bad thing. While out on my bike ride, I came across two of these spacey houses in between Yukon and El Reno. They were in good condition, but none were welcoming enough for me to get any closer.
Anyone know the story behind these houses?
My dear friend Iva is back in town for a short trip. I always look forward to catching up with this remarkable, adventuresome woman. We spent a wonderful lunch of Pho catching up on work adventures, relationships, hobbies and Soviet product design.

No real story here, I just liked how this portrait of my co-worker Gregory came out. The light in the office is really great for portraits.
So I skipped the worst of a cold last week only to come down with a bad case of the flu this week. The worst of it is that this is the first year in many that I didn’t get a flu shot. I guess I tempted fate once too often.
So for now, I am spending my time sleeping between doses of medicine.

So the flu has me knocked out for yet another day. When I’m not sleeping, I can count on the view above me to remain unchanged.
Christmas is still five days away and yet preparations are in full swing. Every evening I come home to a house full of delicious baking smells as Grace’s amazing baking factory churns out a never-ending stream of deliciousness.
Tonight’s baked masterpieces included a whole batch of gingerbread men. This particularly effective rendition of Lady Gaga was made by Gwen’s friend Mercedes.
