Lost in OK

The Christmas tree finally came down today and went to the backyard for dismemberment. Now to pack up all of the ornaments, wreathes, candles and candy canes for another year.

Continuing my post illness need for partying, Iva, Una and I made of evening out of a visit to the gun range and then a trip to the local nautical themed bar, The Porthole.

Not that I am encouraging anyone to take up smoking nor do I miss it, but it does make for some great photos. This was taken on the last night I would see Iva for this trip. We had a great evening of shooting guns and consuming libations (and yes,in that order).

I always love the chance to see this dear friend and I miss her when she’s gone. However, at least I can be sure that when she is gone, she is collecting some great stories for the next time I see her.

I’ve finally recovered enough so that I can attend a dinner party with Grace, my Parents, the Savic’s and Jelena. It was a wonderful time and we were graced with some of the very talented playing from Iva’s father Dragan. It felt really great to be able to socialize again. :)

No great work of art (or actually any work of art) here, but it does tell a story. After three days of being cooped up in the house with the flu, even a trip to Target seems like a grand adventure. I’m feeling so much better and by tomorrow hope to be pretty much mended. After that, I’ll start looking for some good pictures again. ;)

After three days, I’m finally starting to recover. This is one old acquaintance I won’t be sad to see the last of. However, being sick and slowly recovering at the end of the year really isn’t a bad thing. It gives you such great promise for the beginning of the new year that you can’t help but have hope for better things.

While out on my bike ride, I came across two of these spacey houses in between Yukon and El Reno. They were in good condition, but none were welcoming enough for me to get any closer.

Anyone know the story behind these houses?

My dear friend Iva is back in town for a short trip. I always look forward to catching up with this remarkable, adventuresome woman. We spent a wonderful lunch of Pho catching up on work adventures, relationships, hobbies and Soviet product design.
