Well, Smurfette isn’t really dead, but as of today she’s no longer my sole bicycle. As of today, I’ve got this beautiful new Surly Long Haul Trucker in my garage. She’s the same color but a much different personality which puts me in a quandary as to what to name her. Smurfette II just doesn’t seem right . . . Any ideas? I’ll buy a drink for the person with the best idea. ;)
[Read More]So, following up on the request for information I posted earlier, it appears the cyclist in question was involved in an apparent hit and run crash.
About 8:15 a.m., a passer-by reported a bicyclist in a ditch in the 12600 block of N Midwest Boulevard, just north of NE 122, Patty said.
The bicyclist, identified only as a white male, was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.
“This appears to be a hit-and-run,” Patty said.

I was just notified to a mishap involving an un identified rider. OKC Police are needing assistance in identifying a rider. Please contact OKC POLICE if you think you know this rider as he had no id on him.

When I signed up they offered really top notch service and a reasonable price (especially for .NET hosting, which I was primarily using at the time). However, over the last year or so, their service has become increasingly unreliable and even at the best of times, extremely slow. Earlier this week, this site went down unexpectedly. I probably should have trained some for the ride because the first several days took a lot out of me and for the first time I came short by 30 miles one day.
